PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Land Owners, entered into a development agreement with Adasomi Development Company Limited (ADCL), for the development of its farm land into a Hectare By Hectare farm estate.

Pursuant to the development agreement, Adasomi has decided to imbed 80 lots of beehives in 40 hectares of soya bean farms (each farm to be hedged with sunflower plants) to boost high yield of honey production due to easy collection of nectar and pollen by the bees from the soybean and sunflower plants during their flowering period.  

    1. Number of available lots – 80
    2. Number of beehives per lot –  20
    3. Number of lots per plot (hectare)-2
    4. A proxy farmer shall upon expression of interest receive a formal offer letter for his/her interest.
    5. Upon receipt of a formal offer letter, the proxy farmer is required to deposit the total amount in his/her name as contained in the schedule of fees with our escrow partner UBA PLC, in an interest yielding account.
    6. A proxy farmer shall be entitled to 60% of gross quarterly profit on each of his/her farm lot.
    7. After each harvest, a proxy farmer shall be entitled to 60% of profit due on his/her farm lot(s).
    8. Resident farmers shall be employed to provide farming services for all the farms within the estate as well as supervising farm laborers that would be employed for the maintenance of each farm plot(s).
    9. Upon the request of any proxy farmer, Adasomi shall provide Inter-mediation services for processing of Agric Loan to enable him/her to pay the fees contained in the schedule.
    10. Subject to other terms and conditions, net interest payable on the loan shall not be more than 9%per annual.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. At the discretion of the proxy farmer, harvested produce could be pre-sold to a primary off-taker, could be delivered to him/her, sold to a secondary off-taker/end user or alternatively preserved for him/her at any warehouse within the Hectare by Hectare value chain.
  2. Where the produce is preserved in the approved warehouse, the proxy farmer shall receive Adasomi warehouse voucher detailing the value of his/her stock in the warehouse.
  3. The proxy farmer could from time to time trade on this voucher to enable him/her unlock value of his/her stock stored in the warehouse.
  4. Upon the sale of harvested produce, net income due to a proxy farmer shall be determined after all legitimate deductions are made.

  • Duration for each bee keeping cycle is 12 months
  • Bee keeping season shall be from 0ctober to April.
  • 1 beehive will produce approximately 15 litres of honey per season
  • Honey shall be sold directly to end-users at a minimum price of N3500 per litre.
  • Monthly management fee of N4,000 shall subsequently be deductible from harvest proceeds of each farming cycle.
  • Monthly labour cost of N6750 shall subsequently be deductible from harvest proceeds of each farming cycle.
  • Monthly infrastructure fee of N15,000 shall subsequently be deductible from harvest proceeds of each farming cycle.
  • Monthly security fee of N6,000 shall subsequently be deductible from harvest proceed of each farming cycle.
  • Monthly consultancy fee of N2000 shall be deductible from harvest proceeds of each farming cycle.
  • Infrastructure partner shall provide all the hives and every other bee keeping tools and materials required.
  • Projected yield within a period of 12 months for honey – 150 litres.

  • Pollen – 2,500 grams
  • Propolis – 2,000 grams

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Kanuco Investment Services Limited entered into a development agreement with Adasomi Development Company for the integration of its Poultry Farm into the Hectare by Hectare programme.

Pursuant to the development agreement, Adasomi has planned to deploy its HBH Funding Model in providing opportunities to proxy farmers by taking up the available 900 farm lots under its Adasomi Farm Estates Scheme.

  • A proxy farmer shall upon expression of interest receive a formal offer letter for his/her interest. 
  • Upon receipt of a formal offer letter, the proxy farmer is required to deposit the total amount in his/her name as contained in the schedule of fees with our escrow partner UBA PLC, in an interest yielding account.
  • A proxy farmer shall be entitled to 60% of gross quarterly profit on each of his/her farm lot.
  • Each Proxy Farmer shall receive a grant of farming right for 7 years duly executed in his / her favour by ADCL on behalf of Kanuco Investment Services Limited.
  • Resident Farmers shall be employed to provide extension services for the poultry as well as supervising farm laborers that would be employed for the maintenance of the poultry.
  • Upon the request of any proxy farmer, Adasomishall provide Inter-mediation services for processing of Agric Loan to enable him/her to pay the fees contained in the schedule.
  • Subject to other terms and conditions, net interest payable on the loan shall not be more than9% per annum.
  • Except on request by the proxy farmer, ADCL shall be responsible for selling the eggs to primary and secondary off-takers within the Hectare by Hectare value chain.
  • All allocations shall be on a first come, first served basis.

  • Layers will be procured at point of lay.
  • Layers will start laying eggs 5 weeks from date of procurement.
  • Layers will continue to lay eggs for a period of 74 weeks from the date of procurement.
  • 1 and a half crates of eggs will be produced per day.
  • Each crate of eggs could be sold to primary off-takers at minimum of N1,500.
  • Part of the revenue to be generated in the first 5 months of each cycle, shall be utilized in funding the operations for the remaining 13 monthsof the cycle.
  • Net income due to a proxy farmer on a lot shall be determined after all legitimate deductions would have been made.
  • Quarterly payments of profit shall be payable only to the proxy farmer’s transaction account.
  • After each transaction cycle of 18 months a minimum of 30old layers will be sold at a minimum of 000per bird, and the farm restocked for the next transaction cycle.
  • Two months period is allowed after each cycle for restocking.
  • Subject to compensation payable on all insured risks, all losses that occur within the transaction cycle shall be shared equally by all the proxy farmers within a cage.
  • At the discretion of the proxy farmer, each of the crates could be pre-sold to a primary off-taker.
  • Projected yield for the 18 months farming cycle-777 crates of eggs, @N1,500/crate
  • Present market value of 777 crates of eggs-N1, 165,500.
  • Market value of 30 old layers-120,000
  • Projected Minimum yield – 70% of projected yield.
